As any local will tell you, one of the best ways to enjoy South Florida is on a boat. Our warm, beautiful waters are ideal for casual sailing and fishing excursions; however, in the last few years there has been a rise in a new type of water adventure – the one-day cruise. Currently, there are several local companies offering one-day cruises to the Bahamas or around Fort Lauderdale’s famous waterways. If you thought your South Florida vacation was too short for a cruise, think again! You can easily book one of these ferries and enjoy a unique vacation-within-a-vacation during your Ft. Lauderdale getaway.
Enjoy a Round-Trip Ferry Ride to Grand Bahama
Experience the allure of Grand Bahama with a round-trip ferry ticket aboard the Balearia Caribbean. During the ferry ride you can also order food, refreshments, and even purchase duty-free goods.
Please note that a current passport is required for trips to the Bahamas. The ferries leave from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale and depart around 8 AM.
